The stripping of the existing church pews at Ratigan-Schottler Company in Beatrice, Nebraska is underway. At this time all of the ends, center supports and bookracks as well as approximately 20-30 pew bodies stripped of the existing finish before running out of material. Because of continued back-ordered stripping chemicals, other methods of removing the previous finish are being pursued, namely blasting with walnut shells and other abrasive materials.
